{"id":1928,"date":"2020-11-14T15:52:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-14T20:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/practicalbits.com\/?p=1928"},"modified":"2020-11-19T21:58:34","modified_gmt":"2020-11-20T02:58:34","slug":"the-tuttle-twins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/practicalbits.com\/?p=1928","title":{"rendered":"The Tuttle Twins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, I&#8217;ve just spent the afternoon reading the Tuttle Twins series by Connor Boyack.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/practicalbits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1394-1-scaled.jpg\" class=\"size-full\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\"><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, they&#8217;re not long &#8211; maybe the length of a Cam Jansen story.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But what are they?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They are nothing more than a kid-friendly introduction to basic libertarian principles. Most volumes are tied to a cornerstone book of foundational libertarian principles &#8211; for example, &#8220;The Search for Atlas&#8221; goes with Ayn Rand&#8217;s <em>Atlas Shrugged<\/em>, or &#8220;The Creature from Jekyll Island&#8221; is tied to (surprise) Griffith&#8217;s <em>The Creature From Jekyll Island<\/em>. A couple cover more general principles, like The Golden Rule or entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>At the back of each volume are vocabulary, discussion questions,<\/p>\n<p>How To Use These Books<\/p>\n<p>Target reading audience: Appropriate for 9-10 year olds who are strong readers.<\/p>\n<p>Others: Younger children will enjoy this as a read aloud.
